The Top Vitamins and Supplements For Healthy Aging

The aging progression in our bodies is an ongoing thing each day of our lives. Since stopping the clock, is out of the questions we need to take care of ourselves on a daily basis. It’s a known fact that as we age we need a dietary supplements and vitamins to substitute for elements our bodies aren’t producing like they did twenty years ago.

Dietary supplements are sometimes needed because your diet will change as you age and you may eat more or less than usual. As your skin and digestive system starts to change, so do your vitamin levels. In order to keep these levels up, you may need to take a supplement to keep that level where it belongs.

Not having the right vitamins can allow cancers and chronic diseases to develop. It’s imperative that you understand the vitamins that your body needs and how they will help keep you healthy. In all, there are two different kinds of vitamins: fat-soluble (vitamins A, D, E, and K), and water-soluble (vitamins B, C, and P).

The fat-soluble vitamins, if taken in excess, can turn toxic. Our bodies naturally produce vitamins D (also comes from the sun and helps with brittle bones) and K, but vitamins A and E need to come from food or supplements, as they help prevent cardiac disease and some cancers.

The water-soluble vitamins help the kidneys to rid of our excess waste on a daily basis, so it’s hugely important to get the right amount daily. You should consult with your physician to learn which vitamins and supplements are best suited for you.

Taking Vitamin B-12 and B-6 helps to reduce heart disease. B-12 will help the red blood cells produce and maintain the nervous system as well too.You can find B-12 by eating the right lean red meats, chicken and drinking skim milk.

The truth is that whether we’re 25 or 65, we don’t always eat like we should. IOn top of that, a huge portion of the foods on the market have little to no vitamins in them and may even be harmful. The farmers use chemical fertilizers that make their crop grow larger, but the chemical that we ingest from those foods aren’t meant for our bodies and should be avoided at all costs.
